We got an offer within a week, which we didn't accept, but then we got a good offer withing two and half weeks. Unfortunately we moved to Tulsa so he wasn't able to help us find our new house. In 2015 we sold our moderately upscale home in Edmond OK. The first to arrive for a showing of our home were a couple with children relocating from out of state. They were supported by a diligent agent working on their behalf. Being business-minded with an engineering lens on life I have a stickler for detail in areas such as knowledge, integrity, authenticity, quality of work, accurate statements and facts, keeping promises, and adding value to the outcome. I cannot say enough here to adequately cover all the positives of our experience through a real estate transaction masterfully managed by Mr. Olterman.In 2015 we listed our moderately upscale home in Edmond OK FSBO on Zillow. We had previously handled on our own the process of selling and buying of our previous personal homes thus the property was properly prepared. It is appropriate to also mention that from our experience on both sides of the FSBO transaction the process is not for the light-hearted and comes with carefully managed risks. My wife and I had an open house scheduled three days out from the listing. The response was tremendous at the open house. Unknown to us at the time of the initial greeting an out of state couple showing interest in the house had Karl Oltermann working on their behalf . Immediately upon their departure from the open house Mr. Oltermann initiated communications with us on behalf of his clients. Being a FSBO listing and having other promising inquiries already in the works it was going to take some salesmanship on a buyer’s agent part, evidence of value added, and a high-expectation of personal confidence in Mr. Oltermann as an agent as well as his personal integrity. Where other agents faltered, Karl made the selling experience a pleasant one, giving me a lot of hope where I felt I would be lucky to sell.An agent told me I would be lucky to get what I paid for it 4.5 years earlier, but it sold within a week for more than 35% more than what I paid.
