Over the past 7 years we have used Gwyn Self as our realtor. Gwyn is easy to work with, she listened to our requests and our concerns when searching for our home. She was quick to reply to VM, emails and text messages. She wasn't annoyed every time we had a question or if we wanted to add a house off we found searching on Zillow. Gwyn is also pleasant to spend a day especially when you are viewing 5 or more homes with a toddler in tow. There were several times I immediately didn't like a home on the MSRP list so she doesn't waste my time nor hers and walking through a home so we moved on to the next house on the list. 7 years ago I was a new mom and Gwyn was great with my daughters. Now 3 daughters over the past 7 years later Gwyn helped us sell our first and 2nd home now we are happy in our 3rd home in an excellent school district. Gwyn has watched our family and our square footage (that is much needed with a family of 5) grow. Gwyn made consistent effort keeping in touch with us way after closing.
In summary: Gwyn is personable, knowledgeable, agreeable, approachable, reachable plus she is firm when negotiating however never rude. She is professing and respectful when working with other realtors and she has excellent time management. Bonus, Teresa jumps in with financing questions and has made the offer/contracts portion of buying a home educational and easy. Teresa is competent and has a high aptitude in her field. Together Gwyn and Teresa are a fantastic duo. And when its time to find our next home we will be using Gwyn as our realtor.

My wife and I found out we were moving to OKC about four months before we had to execute our move. At the time, I was deployed abroad with spotty internet access at best. Not ideal conditions for househunting - stress levels were elevated, to say the least. Everything got much easier (and more fun!) when I reached out to Gwyn Self, who came highly recommended by several of my colleagues in OKC.

A few months of back and forth with Gwyn via email produced a solid list of houses that my wife and I wanted to see in person. We managed to book a two day trip to OKC during a weekend. (Notice: during the WEEKEND. Gwyn and her husband Ken, a contractor, spent the entirety of their weekend with us).

Eight hours into the first day, we found our house. And don't get me wrong - this wasn't the HGTV-style, "well, it's $50,000 out of our budget but I just LOVE the countertops so let's buy it!" find. No, this was within our budget and beyond our expectations. More importantly, it came after we THOUGHT we'd found our house at least twice. Gwyn's patience, her rational approach to showing us houses that fit our situation and needs, and her willingness to be honest with us and tell us when she didn't see a house as a good fit (combined with Ken's builder's eye on the lookout for potential headaches) ensured that we kept looking until we found the right house.

There were other offers on the house which necessitated us going in pretty aggressively. I was completely comfortable doing this, however, because Gwyn took the time to talk us through local comps, expectation for future rent, and market trends as a whole. She never pressured us to buy the place and made sure we knew that she had lots of other houses lined up for us to see if we decided to play it more conservatively. Ultimately our offer was accepted - one more thing to thank Gwyn for.

That isn't the end of the story, however. My wife and I were delayed due to unforeseen circumstances in moving to OKC for several months. During this time Gwyn and Ken coordinated lawn care, picked up our mail, programmed our sprinklers, made repairs to drawers and some other minor things damaged by the previous owners' move-out, and supervised the installation of our appliances ahead of our arrival. Talk about personal touch! Get this: we never asked for any of that. I would just get a text saying "hey, stopped by and did this" or "you got some stuff in the mail that looks important." This move SHOULD have been incredibly stressful. Thanks to Gwyn and Ken, it hasn't been. It has felt more like having trusted neighbors in our corner.

In summary, I cannot recommend Gwyn highly enough. She is administratively thorough, well versed in the homebuying process, very knowledgeable about the OKC area, personally invested with her clients, and skilled at planning and executing the house hunting experience. We will definitely list with Gwyn when we decide to sell or rent, and she will have our recommendation and our business for as long as we are both in OKC.
